Temp cover is a type of insurance that people use when they need to drive a vehicle that is not theirs. I have actually used this type of insurance in more than one situation. Once, I had to use temp cover in order to drive a vehicle home after purchasing a car in another town. I had not planned on buying the car at the time; however, the deal was too good to pass up. Someone at the dealership told me about temp cover and that knowledge allowed me to take the vehicle home before my regular policy kicked in. I have also used temp cover when I needed to borrow a vehicle for a weekend, because my car-before, I purchased the new vehicle-was in the shop. The point is that temp cover has been there several times, when I needed to ensure the vehicle I was driving was insured.
