Wolf Hybid Saves Owner in Machete Attack An Alaskan man attacked and killed his father with a machete in the small town of Palmer, Alaska. He then attacked his father's fiance with the machete. That's when Bear intervened. Bear is a 160 lb. wolf and mastiff cross. In addition to being charged with two counts of first-degree murder, and three counts of attempted first-degree murder, he is also being charged with animal cruelty for injuring the dog in the attack. Wolf-Like and Wolf Hybrid Breeds One of the greatest problems with aquiring a wolf hybrid dog is the inability to predict or determine the behavior and characteristics of the adult dog. Ownership of any Wolf Hybrid as a pet is BANNED in the following states: Alaska Other states have very strict licensing requirements. Hybrids may also be regulated on local or county levels.
BEWARE:In the USA, many states require permits for the ownership of wolf-hybrids.

RABIES:Many states refuse to allow wolf dogs because of the lack of an approved rabies vaccine. There is no evidence that the current vaccines used for dogs is ineffective in wolves. |
